I keep accidentally taking pictures of myself. Let me tell you, the Myspace angle might be flattering, but the DSi "I just got out of bed and I want to play games" angle is NOT. But, actually, despite the fact that I "had" to upgrade, it's pretty cool. Nothing to toss your DS Lite out of the window for yet, though.
Anyway, some unfinished business:

This is a sprite taken from the Otaclock, which is an official MGS application that puts Otacon on your desktop. He tells you what time it is. Yeah, it's that cool. Basically, I needed an MGS icon and this appealed to me more than using a photoshop of The Pain in a french maid uniform, just slightly.
2.
The main character from Dragon Quest Swords for Wii. Let me tell you, this is a LAZY ICON. I basically cropped his official art and was like BAM! THAT'S IT. Anyway he's pretty cool, he looks like he needs sleep or got drunk and woke up with a hangover and a perm.

Sometimes, life will screw you over, as if a metal slime had lodged itself in your rectum. That's not what this icon is about, though. A discerning eye will be able to see that this icon is clearly protesting the Spanish Civil War.

Jade from Tales of the Abyss has a crotch. What he doesn't know is that his power pellets are dangerously close to being gobbled up, and I'm going to assume that feels awful. Whenever I post with this icon I'm hoping Jade is reading one of my posts (wishful thinking???) and is all like "Holy shit! Pacman is about to eat my balls!" as he tumbles over his computer chair and runs out of the room.

Date: 2009-04-15 04:02 am (UTC)But the DSi..... I dunno. It looks cool, and even tempting with the web browsing and all, but something is not quite convincing me to get one. Maybe cuz I'm bothered that I can't play my GBA games, especially for Pokémon uploads. Then there's the Guitar Hero portable (yeah yeah, I got Decades too-- seemed a cheaper and better bargain than getting a Wii version with songs I don't even like.

Date: 2009-04-16 01:08 am (UTC)And yeah, the DSi is a mixed bag so there are reasons not to upgrade, even if it is cool. It's kind of weird how the most popular portable games (Pokémon) use the GBA slot and yet they'd get rid of it, not to mention the games that NEED it like your Guitar Hero games. It was kind of cool with some games, if you had the GBA version of the game series in the slot when you played the newer DS one, you could get bonuses and other stuff. Definitely a shame they got rid of it, but I have my GBA Micro and older-style DS lying around somewhere if I need them ;D

Date: 2009-04-16 02:35 am (UTC)Yeah. I should've guessed you had the Micro too XD; I never got it cuz I didn't see any use for it myself, but I did keep my GBSP to play the oldest of games. I guess for me it'll be awhile I get the DSi, at least till they release something that I would be likely to play and exclusive to it.
