rant time! :D
Sep. 3rd, 2003 11:39 pmI'm bored and annoyed, so I shall use this time to rant about things. Mostly stupid things, but bear with me.
You know, if I had just slightly less will power, the internet would probably get to me. You know what I mean, all the stupid people out there who appear on your monitor in text form (perhaps with a fancy avatar beside it) and spout bullshit 24/7. In the past week or so, I've had to deal with:
1. Minor FFTA spoilers. (yay you got to play a leaked ROM of the game! way to go! of COURSE I want to hear your uninteresting and less-than-valid opinions of the first 5 minutes of gameplay.) Nothing major, but seriously, I've been waiting for this game forever, shut the fuck up.
2. The ever-present yaoi fans. Oh joy of joys. If I didn't have to wade through 1400 angsty ass-fuck fics/pics to get to something I'd like to see, you'd be okay in my book... almost.
3. Gamefaqs. Gotta love the faqs. Gotta hate the general public who goes there. Cloud vs. Sephiroth for the character battle. Couldn't get any more predictable, over-done, or outright retarded. I love you, FF7, I just wish people would shut up about you and move on.
4. Message boards where people debate in heated discussion about what characters/games they HATE the most. Yay, I come online and get to see your negativity splattered all over the place. Some of us are real gamers/fans who don't hate things so much. We might have our dislikes and personal preferences, but I don't go LOL THAT GAME SUCKS just because of some minor gameplay fault or for some other stupid reason, and thereby totally dismiss the game as a whole over it. I wouldn't mind at all people saying how much they love some game that I didn't particuarly care for, because, who cares? I like what I like and I embrace it, whatever I don't like, I try to ignore.
Ahh there, I feel better.
I realize the internet as a whole (and the world as a whole, while we're on the subject) is total crap, but enough is enough sometimes =P
Also I didn't post this to offend anyone, rants are just to blow off steam. Also, I just saw the FFTA commercial, so that makes everything all better :D~
