NIS America just sent out an email asking for random names for characters for Soul Cradle Nomad, which is pretty cool because I liked that from Disgaea 2 and stuff.

But it's hilarious that they had to include this "disclaimer" in the email:

"Soul Nomad is developed by NIPPON ICHI SOFTWARE, which developed the legendary Disgaea® series. Soul Nomad is more serious than Disgaea, but it has its own comical style, for example you, as the main character, can attack townspeople, steal from stores, and more."

WAT U MEAN IT'S NOT FUNNE LEIK DISGAEA WAS?!11 IS LAHARL IN DIS GAEM???///

Sadly, I think if they would've promoted Phantom Brave like this, it would've cut down on the OMG WAHT retarded fans who were blown away that there weren't horse wiener references every 5 minutes in the game or something.

I always wondered where they got those names from! Did you offer any?
I like Phantom Brave's quieter sense of humor quite a bit. Canary cracks me up every time.

I sent in a few for Disgaea 2 but none of them made it in ;_; Most of them were Final Fantasy Tactics references.

Still, it's fun that we're allowed to participate at all, Japanese gamers get to do this kind of thing a lot, it seems.
