I don't have any homework this weekend. This is what happens when I'm given free time like this, especially on a slow night at work-

My Game Collection

I had started a game collection at IGN a while ago, but it was unfinished back then, and between now and then I got enough games to where it was just easier to redo it.

I'm certain I'm forgetting some games. In particular, it's hard to remember which NES games I actually, physically own, and which ones I just rented or borrowed back in the day. I shall have to take inventory when I get home.

Some of these games are technically [livejournal.com profile] krile's, but now our collections are as one! How romantic.

oh my god over $10,000 worth

........

>.>; WOW

That's all I can say. How about letting me borrow a few of those? XD; man, seeing some of the games you listed brought back memories. ;__; I miss the days old Blockbuster had fun games to rent for the SuperNes. I really miss those days I'd used to say for hours behind it instead of the computer.

On more seriousnes, XD nice collection you guys have ♥

Borrow some? Sure! Just fly on up here and you can play all the games you want! Otherwise, we'll just have to wait for the technology to send each other packages over the internet.

I also feel nostalgic for the days that I'd be able to play games for hours on end, with no internet, job, or college to get in the way! Those were the days. The SNES was truly the golden age of gaming, indeed.

It was. It's really THE console I played the most games on ever from all varieties. I'm glad we still have ours and working ^_^ XD; I still like playing around in Mario Paint...which probably doomed me into learning Photoshop. >>; you know the rest of the story.

XD I think I mostly played Mario-themed games, but I think some of the girliest I played were the Barbie ones, lol. I think back then I had way much more commitment to beat games than now XD;

I can still beat games (eventually), but back then I could re-play the same games over and over again and never get bored, it seems xD There's no way I could do that today. I played Mario games (of course!) but also the SNES was when I realized I was an RPG addict xD

Mario Paint was awesome, I would mess around with that game for hours xD; But yeah, Photoshop basically replaces it, pretty much. Still, it was fun making little sprites and music and animations.

You really do suck mightily... though seeing your original Nintendo carts made me tear up a little, especially my beloved Dragon Warrior. I sold all my Sega and Nintendo systems and games a few years ago - I never PLAYED them, but I miss them anyway.

How are the Breath of Fire games for GBA?

The GBA Breath of Fire games are classic 16-bit RPGs, so if you're looking to play that kind of game and know what to expect from them, they're great. Not extremely heavy on storyline, but there's a good story there. Interesting characters and battle system. I got lost occasionally but found my way (sometimes peeking at a FAQ, maybe). You MIGHT just have to level up a bit every once and a while, that kind of thing.

I'd recommend them if you like 16-bit RPGs, for sure. Play 1 before you play 2, though, they're somewhat related.
