slimequestI don't often post such things, but I am somewhat bored tonight and I needed to update LJ anyway, so~ (beware amatuer photography skills!)
I'm not the type who even bothers with the madness that is Black Friday, but there were some good deals online. For example, at walmart.com (which crashed 1400000 times while I was trying to place my order, probably due to the stress of so many people mashing the order button because they wanted their cheap stuff), they had a Gameboy Micro for 30-something bucks plus shipping.
Now, I've never been interested in owning one, but this was a one-time deal and I figured, why not?
The thing is so precious and small, like a newborn :D

Is the Micro small, or are my hands merely huge? You decide!
But, in all seriousness, it has a nice, bright screen which is easier on the eyes than the GBASP. The screen is also slightly smaller, but that makes the picture sharper and clearer. Plus, the buttons are spaced out more than the SP's, and for my hands in particular it felt cramped, so the Micro is better for me in that regard. More like the original GBA.
See, I told you there were Reading Rainbow references, you guys.
Plus, unknown to me at the time, the one I ordered was actually the 20th anniversary special.. thing, or whatever. Yay! Mario approves.
BUT ENOUGH TALK, HAVE AT YOU! Actually, let's take pictures of more stuff.
Perhaps surprisingly, I am a very organized person.. usually. These are all in some kind of logical order which made sense at the time but which is now unexplainable.
Now, the mostly-Nintendo shelf. Almost all of my PS1 games are in this binder thing because otherwise I would have to devote an entire room to the game cases.
This is our cat. I find her to be more convenient than your typical cat because she is not real and does not require food or kitty litter. She enjoys napping near vintage video games and long walks on the beach.
Also, you don't see a Pokemon game box down there. It's.. that aurora borealis thing, yeah!
This is pretty much self-explanatory. True love!
Hey, Haseo-kun! Beat me up and earn silver points!
Haseo hangs out with the DQ8 guys mostly because he is almost as tall as them. He's not very social but deep down he's.. well, an asshole. But that's why he is so popular!
Yes, Mistress Tron, whatever you say. What, you want to be really blurry? Okay!
Tron has the best legs of our figures so far, I'd say! (That rhymed)
In hindsight, they should have made the cover of the Makai Kingdom strategy guide look like Zetta. I need to figure out what to keep in the Prinny's pouch. Maybe condoms? Don't knock her up, dood!
(Also, you do NOT see any Pokemon... ahh, damn it)
I'm not really sure what happened here. The Burger King crown is a nice touch though, don't you think? Very regal.
My love for Legos still burns as brightly as a thousand suns. P.S., Freya.

I'm not really ashamed of still playing Pokemon games. I know a LOT of people who play the games and have nothing to do with any other aspect of the franchise, because it's the only decent part left. Besides, now that I have a Mew, I AM UNSTOPPABLE.
