slimequest: (*flies randomly and for no reason*)

I think it's probably a bad sign that I've seemingly "adopted" this computer at work; it's here in the library next to the front desk at the hotel that is free for any guest to use, and conveniently enough, I can use it to slack off when it's slow (hence this post).

But, like I said, I've sort of "adopted" it because I look after it when I come in, checking to see if any idiot has decided to download crap onto it (someone downloaded Limewire today.. why would you do that on a public computer? Do you need your crappy mp3s that badly?) or use IE on it or something. Yes, I installed Firefox on here and hid any reference to IE so that people are forced to use it. I even renamed the shortcut to Firefox "Internet" so they have little choice, fufufu~ I mean, the thing is a clunky compy with Windows 98 on it, but somehow I feel responsable for it. /weirdness of the day

I've been playing Suikoden II over again, going for 108 stars this time. I read up on a funny-sounding glitch that I decided to take advantage of: once you get to Muse, you can actually cross up into Matilda by pushing the gate out of the way and walking right by the guards. Yes, you can just push this big hunk of metal around with minimal effort. I even pushed it so that it trapped one of the guards behind it, and another time pushed it off-screen. Amusing, to say the least.

But, the whole point of this is that you can recruit Futch and Humphrey veeery early. The point in it? Apparently if you take Futch with you during the whole "let's pretend we're school children" scenario, his dialouge is all garbled text because you're not supposed to have him at that point. How could I resist this? Hilarity ahoy! The only downside is that my party is all around level 35 or so (even Jowy, who already has his level-4 rune magic for some godforsaken reason). I hate making games too easy, but oh well, I'm sort of going for the Clive/Elza sidequest thing too so being overleveled might prove useful.

Also been watching anime, such as Scrapped Princess, Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals (finally, I've had those VCDs for a while), and various others. Finally got into watching FLCL and Samurai Champloo on Adult Swim, too. And Paranoia Agent is strangely entertaining, in a sick sort of way. I've also gotten around to watching He is My Master, which I've been meaning to for a while as well. I told [livejournal.com profile] krile that I'd watch Tsubasa Chronicle with her if she'd watch this with me xD Fair game~

I know there are people out there who can watch anime all the time no problem, but I have to be really in the mood to sit down and watch them, and I can go months and months without watching anything. I have an easier time if it comes on TV like Adult Swim, but DVDs for some reason require an effort on my part that I don't always want to deal with xD

I guess that's about it, although I got an email that made me happy yesterday, concerning Square-Enix's promotion of Dragon Quest VIII in North America. They put up this website, and according to RPGFan, intend to make the Dragon Quest brand better-known here. Considering DQ is bigger than anything, including Final Fantasy, in Japan, and how little attention its gotten here compared to other RPG series, I'm glad to hear it <3 I mean, DQ was the first console RPG, ever, and my first RPG. I gotta love it.

I got the glitch that meant I wasn't able to finish the game after defeating Luca Blight. I was pretty pissed off about that. I really do need to replay it properly one of these days.

The English version is probably the most glitch-ridden game I've ever seen. There's supposed to be music during the war battle sequences and several other scenes, that just.. isn't there. And when you import data from Suikoden I, the hero's name gets messed up pretty badly. Still, I love the game regardless, but this is as good an excuse to remake it as any.

I hope our glitch is a different glitch, I don't want to be stuck in the game after defeating Luca. @_@;

lol @ limeware XD

I know how you feel about Anime. I like it, but y'know... meh! My friend has told me to download a lot of stuff but I.. just.. can't force myself to watch any of it. Took me a while to even get into Chobits but thank god I did! <3

Tsubasa Chronicle is arse. I've "only" watched 10 episodes but ZzzzZzzZZzzz. Everyone in the show is annorexic and it has no action whatsoever! XD Only reason I watched is because I liked Card Captors :< Saying that, though, I'll probably download the rest of the episodes and watch them... eventually... :*
