slimequest: (Too cool for the afterlife)
So, Disney World was fun. A lot more fun that I thought it would be. My parents were never the amusement park type, so I've been to very few. I went on my first roller coasters, I was really nervous at first because I didn't know what to expect. But what do you know, not only was it fun, but I like them now and want to go on more~!

The rest of the park was really interesting too, despite me not having seen a Disney movie since the Lion King. There honestly is a lot to do and see even for non-Disney fans. They weren't quite pimping out Kingdom Hearts 2 yet, but I'm sure they will before too long.

In the obvious gaming news, the DS Lite looks very sexy. Macintosh-ish, even, although it's supposed to look like the Revolution hardware. Anyway, I knew the redesign was inevitable, but it kind of sucks because I just bought pink and teal DSs for [livejournal.com profile] krile and her mom for Xmas. Ah well, I'm going to wait until there are some nice colors out for it before I even consider getting one. My DS works just fine for me at the moment.

Speaking of which, I've begun to play Riviera because Krile made me. It's really cute and interesting so far. I was getting the obvious Valkyrie Profile vibe from the storyline and all. I'm still in the first dungeon-y place with Lina and Fia at the moment. Krile and I have nicknamed the button combinations you have to do in order to avoid traps "Blitzes", like Sabin from FF6, you know? Anyway I'm pretty awful at them at first so I reset when I mess up xD;

I'm glad to hear the sequel is coming out, although part of me kind of wishes it was for the DS. The whole "examining your surroundings" and "dodge those traps!" things could be interesting on a touch screen, plus dual-screened anything is good in my book. Ah well, looking forward to it either way.

I also began to play Romancing SaGa recently, which I'm sure most of you have either never heard of or don't like. The SaGa series basically does what it wants and it takes a certain taste to appreciate it, I'll admit. Either way, it's basically what I've come to expect from SaGa games, I had multiple game overs and got lost within minutes of starting the game :DDDDD (I consider this a great thing).

Almost done with Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance too, I'm glad I'm sort of able to see the light at the end of this "games you need to beat" tunnel, especially with Grandia III and Suikoden V coming out ;_;

I think I shall go play some more Riviera now~!
