1. What do you often do at your job? Like, do you like it? I know what you do, but I always see you... being a bad boy! Uho ho ho~!
Well... what can I say, heh~ Actually, my job has the potential to have a LOT of downtime (working at the front desk of a hotel for the uninitiated), and from the beginning I've had permission to bring homework and that kind of thing with me to pass the time when nothing's going on. When nobody's checking in and the phones aren't ringing, I don't have a whole lot of other work-related things to do most of the time. So, I can basically finish my homework and screw around online a lot of the time, even though there are inevitably interruptions. I've also ninja'd my way through many a portable game as well, and nobody's the wiser, muahaha.
2. What is your favorite RPG, bar none? What game series makes you go "HNGGG" above the rest-
My favorite RPG for nostalgia reasons has to be Final Fantasy IV. I had played RPGs before this (the original Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy on the NES, for example), but FF4 was the RPG that turned me into an "RPG fag" and I've been that way ever since. The characters, music, story... everything about the game brings back nostalgic memories of my childhood, so no other game really stands a chance against it for "favorite".
Other games that hit home when it comes to all-time favorites are the first two SaGa games for Gameboy (Final Fantasy Legend I and II), because these were the games I'd play in the middle of the desert in Mexico during my youth, so they have a lot of awesome memories attached.
As for picking a series... I don't know if I can xD; I honestly think I like too many RPG series. But I basically fanboy spaz out over obscure stuff, like the 16-bit "series" consisting of Actraiser, Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma. Plus the Produce games like 7th Saga and Mystic Ark.
In terms of a full-on series, probably Dragon Quest, because it still retains that oldschool feel after all these years. More recently I've become Megaten-obsessed, in particular Nocturne has become a new favorite of mine.
3. Would
krile look super hot if dressed like Nina2?
Nina 2 is super hot, Krile is super hot... I can't see how this could ever turn out bad! But, she's obsessed with Nina 1, so I think I'd see her dressed up like that one first. But whenever she gets around to being Nina 2 you'll get exclusive pics for sure~ xD
Hmm, now I've got a mental image of this going on in my head and it IS a pretty nice thought XD
4. What languages do you know and what are you planning on learning?
I know Spanish (pretty darn well, I'd say) and Japanese (not as well as I'd like), and... English!!11 In the future, I'd love to pick up either Chinese or Arabic if I'm going to add on another "hard" language... otherwise maybe Portugese if I'm going to pick an "easier" one. But right now I'd rather focus on perfecting the ones I'm learning at the moment, because halfassing a bunch of different ones doesn't seem like such a good idea, even if it is tempting xD;
5. On that note, what are your plans for the future- do you want to travel or stay put, are you interested in going into any sort of degree program or-?
I really don't have any concrete plans at the moment. Traveling would definitely be something I'd love to do, and I'm not averse to moving somewhere else in the country or world in order to pursue a job or just because it appealed to me. I may continue on for my Master's if I'm not able to get any decent job after graduating, so... we'll see what happens! I'm not sure what job I'd get using my languages (translation maybe?), but my "dream job" is translating video games :3

Date: 2009-12-10 09:18 pm (UTC)1. What's your favorite demon/persona/whatever from the Megaten series? Also, what's your favorite Dragon Quest monster?
2. I know you're a fellow game music listener. Have you ever had people react oddly when they find this out? Or, do you try to hide it from other people out of embarassment?
3. You seem to go through a lot of usernames online, is it because you can never settle on one that really defines you well enough? (I'm the same way, I have never been able to find one that I'm satisfied with)
4. What's the game that turned you on to RPGs in the first place? Before that, what kinds of games (if any) did you play? Could you pick one favorite RPG out of them all?
5. What's it like where you live? Would you like to move someday or are you content there? Do you know a lot of people with similar interests around you or is the internet one of the only places to talk about your hobbies?

Date: 2009-12-10 09:29 pm (UTC)1. What are some of your guilty pleasure games, if any? Whether they're embarassing for a person of your gender/age/etc to play, or because it's a guilty pleasure because you KNOW the game is bad, but like it for some reason.
2. Suppose you were going to introduce a person to anime watching, who had never been exposed to it before. Where would you start?
3. In keeping with the anime trend, I know you have watched quite a bit, but what other kinds of things do you watch/have watched in the past, TV or movie wise?
4. Do you wish more games allowed for you to play as a female, or are you content to play as a male most of the time? Also, is there anything you wish gaming companies would change in terms of appealing to (or just not offending) female gamers?
5. You've mentioned that it'd be nice to find a friend to just hang out with and play games with instead of a relationship/spouse-type-person. What kinds of qualities would make for a good lifelong gaming roomie buddy to you?
