So apparently, Episode III is going to be the last in the series. I'll admit, this kind of sucks. I'm a huuuge Xeno fan and I was really looking forward to a six-part series that might include a remake of Xenogears down the line. I have to admit I've been less than thrilled with Monolith's treatment of the series lately, though.

People incessantly bitched about the graphics-style change in Episode II, but then again, people on the internet do nothing but bitch anyway ;D Still, I really didn't mind and in fact liked a lot of the graphical changes, except for KOS-MOS, basically. But the bottom line is, changing the style from anime-ish to realistic partway through a series is kind of something you should avoid, lest you get bitched at. So it's sort of their own fault.

Then there was that anime based on Episode I... what was the point of this, again? The art style was awful, and it really didn't do anything but retell the story in Ep. I with some minor changes. If it would have fleshed out parts of the storyline that didn't get covered in the game, or something, I could understand. But it just seemed pointless, and the awful anime style of it ruined it for me.

Anyway, I was heavily into the concept of Xenosaga when Episode I came out, and it got rekindled when Ep. II did too, but I've been feeling less and less enthusiastic about it as a whole lately. The fandom split between "Ep. II is good" and "I whine too much about graphics.. I mean, Ep. II is bad" kind of soured things for me. And I just feel like Monolith could have really done a lot better with their handling of things. There needed to be the gameplay and game length (GOD Xenosaga games are short as hell!) of Xenogears there, not just the story.

But, anyway, I'll buy Epsiode III just to conclude things. Because I am still a fan, just, a bit disappointed xD I hope they don't halfass the game because they know it's the last one. Plz <3
