I wish I could teleport this stuff to 1992

So, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is disturbingly close to stuff I would've come up with if the concept of fanfics existed when I was twelve. Because I would've totally made up the son of Cecil and Rosa who has ADVENTURES and re-visiting all the old areas from the original game BUT THEY'RE HARDER AND HAVE NEW STUFF IN THEM, and gratuitous cameos from the old cast. I would go into more detail but I don't want to spoil anything, despite the fact that everything that has happened so far probably crossed my mind at some point in what could happen in "Final Fantasy III".

In other words, it's perfect.

Maybe this is what some people felt when they watched Advent Children or played FFX-2... okay so probably doubtful on that last one.

My brother's been playing that, too. When I saw Ceodore (I think, haha) I was like, "dude, who's that?" and he was like, "Cecil and Rosa's kid." :'D I wasn't very familiar with the cast of IV, but hnldsjlga that's pretty great stuff. I knew enough that I knew I didn't know who he was. Uhh. /confusing

Haha, well at least you sorta know what's going on now? xD But, yeah, if you ARE an FFIV fan, this game is awesome incarnate. Besides, video game characters don't get to make babies very often.

And, anyway, when I was young I would've killed to be the kid of Cecil and Rosa... or maybe Cecil and Rydia.

Kiiinda. I was too busy playing Persona 4 while he was playing, so I didn't get to follow the whole story. All I know is that he was playing as Yang at one point to do his part of the story or whatever it was he was doing, haha. And I agree, I demand more baby making. :| Especially if it spawns things like this game.

Haha! Just being the kid of Cecil would be awesome, apparently. I think Cecil's my brother's favorite FF protagonist, though. Makes me wish I knew more about this game omggg.

Well, if you're going to be distracted from paying attention to this game, Persona 4 is a completely acceptable choice <3

Glad to know. 8D

HOWEVER. P4 is currently making me discouraged because hjldsblga I'm a failure and miscalculated the days before I could save Mitsuo aaaand so I'm kind of screwing myself over right now on the last day I can save him. Also, Shadow Mitsuo is no fun because I keep dying. ;w; I might give it another shot tonight, but ohgod. I need to go level or something. Or just ask for more luck during Gigadyne. :'|

Don't stress! If for some reason you can't save the person in time, the game will "reset" back two weeks, so you can try again. But you'll lose any levels or progress you gained in those two weeks, so keep that in mind...

That boss is a pain in the ass, though, so I know what you're going through xD My girlfriend ended up going off and doing something else while I struggled with that boss, and she usually watches me play constantly xD;

I was thinking about doing that, but I don't know. I actually almost beat him yesterday. :| I got Gigadyne'd to death, though, since he has two turns aaand yeah. I WAS SO DEPRESSED. His life looked non-existent on the bar, but everyone knows that doesn't mean anything.

I felt like leaving when I was struggling and I was the one playing. xD;

As soon as I get some money I'm getting the shit out of that.

It's kind of weird how much I'm getting in to all this extra FFIV stuff now it was never really my favorite in the past.

There was a point in time where I, shall we say... lost appreciation for FFIV, although I guess it was just a result of playing the shit out of it when I was younger and getting a little sick of it, and moving on to subsequent FFs and other RPGs.

But it was a huge game for me back in the day and I still regard it as my favorite game. The recent DS remake and now The After Years cements that even further for me. But these two games were so well-done that I'm glad non-diehard FF4 fans can get into them ;D
