SaGa 2 1.0 patch released!

Here's the page to download from my new favorite fan translation group, Crimson Nocturnal! They're also working on Tales of Hearts and Summon Night X.

This translation only covers the first few worlds in the game, but it's a great start. I'm still really hoping S-E will give us an official release, but it's nice to know that if it doesn't happen people can still play it.

Naturally you'll need something like an R4 or Acekard to play this on your DS, as well as a copy of the ROM which can be found online pretty easily - just search for "SaGa 2 Hihou Densetsu ROM" or something.

I might upload a prepatched version later on when I get home if anyone's interested <3

The R4 is the "older" one that doesn't work on the DSi, but it should be able to play just about anything. The Acekard 2i is one of the newer ones and works on the DSi as well as all the other kinds of DSes.

Yours is an R4, mine's an Acekard. If ToI doesn't work with the R4 then you should get something else soon-ish! I believe SaGa 2 works with both, but I haven't tested it quite yet.

Honestly, there's a bajillion different DS flashcarts on the market but I think the Acekard 2i is the preferred one nowadays. The only thing to look out for are pirated carts which don't work as well or at all. Basically just buy from the most decent-looking sites or ask around about them, if you can.

Hmm, according to them, R4s, Acekard 2s (they mean 2i I guess... was there a first one?), and CycloDSs will work. Random Supercards won't.

Since my DS is still a Lite, I'll go with the R4, but I'll keep in mind about the 2i.

The 2i is I think, just compatible with the DSi but is otherwise similar to the older ones. It's the most popular DSi card I think so it should be fine.
