It's her legs, too, that look fat. Like a not-as-muscular Chun-Li.
Also, there were no Dragon Quest VIII hero figurines? I think the only decent character designs in the entire series were the DQ8 Hero, Jessica, Prince of Sumaltria, and Maribel.
